The new councillor, who owns two restaurants in Bantry employing 25 people, has two young children, with a third on the way. 

A new councillor from the Social Democrats was co-opted onto Cork County Council on Monday, January 8 to fill the vacancy left after the recent resignation of Ross O’Connell.

CORK County Council has approved its Budget for 2024 totalling over €458 million which will see key services such as housing and roads receive increases of €18.4m and €22.1 million respectively.
