A recap of the days news. Twitter and apparently from watching me on cnn, which he denies, by the way. I know this because he has tweeted a nasty hateful swipe at me and lebron james weve been discussing here. Youve probably read about it or saw it somewhere. I sat down with an nba great after lebron just opened a school for 240 at risk third and forty graders. And during our conversation lebron said this. We are in a position right now in america more importantly where this whole race thing has...

What was he projecting when he was tweeting that meeting at the trump tower was about getting dirt on Hillary Clinton . Why would he tweet something that completely contradicts the statement that they wrote saying it wasnt about that and that he lied to us saying he had nothing to do with it. I rest my case. Come on, hes saying exactly what is happening and exactly what is true about him. He cannot help himself. Listen, you know, chris, we do not take this lightly. When this man was on the campa...

Hes very emboldened. hes very audacious, but were there others who felt it was important to do so? were there members of congress who were trying to facilitate communications. jeffrey clarks home was raided today. they may have had other things before this moment in time. but what about jeffrey clark today did you learn from the hearings? was there other corroborating evidence that said this person was named? i also want to know, if im doj, how exactly did scott perry know that jeffrey clark was...

Alicia Menendez focuses on raising voices that arent typically featured on cable news.

Leaks off of that inspector generals report seem to back her up. that -- that while she may have sent some texts that didnt look great, that, you know, basically the foundations of the investigation were solid. and that the conduct of the investigation was in the main basically fine. >> i mean, what she points out and i think this bears repeating. is that she is a lawyer. she was the fbi lawyer. she knew what the law was. and so in the text messages, shes exchanging text message with her colleag...

That this was, in his own words, insidious and improper. one of the things that stood out to me, brianna, was when he recounts his conversation with the president after the text exchange with the ambassador in ukraine, he said president trump said, i want nothing, i want no quid pro quo, i want zelensky to do the right thing. it almost sounds like a wire tap in a mob case. youre creating a record to say no quid pro quo, but do the right thing. >> the president is speaking latin, it sounds like t...

President, i find it ironic that youre in vietnam now." he has a message direct for the president in his opening statement tomorrow. or later today, depending on which time zone youre in. >> stand by just quickly because i want to get to someone very important on the phone whos actually going to be questioning him. i just want to ask you a couple things that garrett said quickly here. he said he wouldnt be testifying if he couldnt prove to investigators. is that -- >> im actually not so sure abo...

>> it happens in other cases, white collar cases, chris. lets not make out -- make this out as a mob case simply because we have a president who at times is -- >> yes? >> no, sounds -- >> by the same rules youre putting out there for me. >> he plays into it, i get that. that doesnt make it a mob case. >> theyre trying to pressure them to lie. thats right out of the gotti handbook. >> its out of a lot of peoples handbook. every subject of an investigation believes or says that the prosecutor is p...

>> he plays into it, i get that. that doesnt make it a mob case. >> theyre trying to pressure them to lie. thats right out of the gotti handbook. >> its out of a lot of peoples handbook. every subject of an investigation believes or says that the prosecutor is pushing people to tell stories that are consistent with the prosecutors view. when i was in practice, i had a white collar case where a witness was sat down in the u.s. attorneys office which is opposite the metropolitan correctional cente...

Cooperating with the new york state authorities as you point out in an investigation in the trump organization and the trump family charity. what does that tell you? could charges be coming against the presidents businesses or family members? >> it could be. the fact that michael cohen is talking to everybody in the business of looking at donald trump is certainly bad news for donald trump, but its sort of standard operating procedure. when i was the u.s. attorney and we had a cooperating witnes...
