Packaging firm Amcor has announced it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Moda Systems, a manufacturer of automated protein packaging machines.

Amcor plans to acquire Moda Systems, which will provide it with fully integrated, production-ready fresh protein packaging solutions.

Moda's rotary vacuum system improves operational efficiencies for protein producers, enabling them to optimize labor, improve safety and reduce waste.

The packaging machine company is based in New Zealand. 

Amcor, a global leader in developing and producing responsible packaging solutions, announces that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Moda Systems, a leading manufacturer of state-of-the-art, automated protein packaging machines.

The acquisition will provide Amcor with fully integrated, production-ready fresh protein packaging solutions.

Amcor (AMCR) will acquire privately-held Moda Systems for an undisclosed sum, the company said on Monday.
