not thinking that! Juliet but with outside valve-chests and Walschaerts (or Baker, like I think her Tich sister uses?) Gear, too. Neat alteration and oh so much simpler for oiling round and maintenance. Did you have to make many modifications other than rotating the cylinder blocks and designing the valve-gear, to use that configuration? My society built a Juliet X 2 (a 7.25 " g.) version - in his original introductory instalment of the building series in ME, LBSC remarked quite a few reader...

78 articles Id like to take this opportunity to wish everyone on the forum a very Happy Christmas from myself and my colleagues at Model Engineer and My Time Media. I tried to ring them on another matter today, after 10 mins on the phone answering various questions to a computer and chasing through various menu,.........тАЩ we are closed, we are back 4th JanтАЩ. This after an 30 min abortive call yesterday with them telling me how important my call was, and suggesting I use web chat......service unavailable! Thanks EON - just donтАЩt answer or tell me that straight away.....would it be cynical to wonder if they get a cut of the call cost?

Not sure if I should start splitting the posts - would like to keep the build history in one place, but as I am visually vociferous the post becomes rather large...Will do what is suggested... The Lathe bed turned out well, and the base framework is also started - The exercise now being to get the spindle motor positioned with regard to the drive belt, spindle, and motor tilt mechanism. The latter required as the motor will be fitted with a dual sheave pulley, one of 120mm OD and the step below...

Neat. Gotta love the Russians. They are masters of innovation born out of years of necessity to do everything with the almost nothing they had available. I taught English to Russian refugees back in the late 80s and they regaled us with endless stories of how they fixed their Russian motorbikes and cars and tractors with no parts available. Stuff like pulling the springs out of leaking garter seals and shortening them to make the seal work again, or cutting dead car batteries open, scraping the...

Dont despair New Zealanders, they will arrive. I am also on the West Coast of Canada and received 299 last week Thursday, followed up by #300 the following day. The last ME I received was also 4655 which arrived on Jan 15th, What is amazing, however, is that I also received a letter from the UK on Friday, only four days after posting, it is many years since I have experienced this kind of postal service.
