Following a cloudy end to the weekend, a winter storm arrives late Sunday and continues through early Tuesday. A Winter Weather Warning is now in place for much of eastern and central Nebraska. We are expecting mixed precipitation to continue on and off for a few of the early morning hours before the transition over to snow. Once we do see that transition, heavy snow will pick up especially in areas south of I-80 first.

Following a rainy Christmas Eve in eastern Nebraska, the rain will transition into snow overnight. Snow will continue throughout Christmas Day. North and central Nebraska are in a Blizzard Warning through 6:00am Wednesday, where strong winds and heavier snow are expected.
