Winter Probabilities News Today

The spring feel to our weather will try to hang around for a couple more days, then winter comes back.

With temperatures now nearing freezing and more precipitation chances, we could see some freezing drizzle/sleet as soon as tonight into Tuesday morning.

Following a cloudy end to the weekend, a winter storm arrives late Sunday and continues through early Tuesday. A Winter Weather Warning is now in place for much of eastern and central Nebraska. Snow totals have adjusted to now 4-8+ inches. Stay with the channel 8 Storm Alert Team as we continue to provide updates on the approaching winter weather.

Heavy snow is likely throughout the day on Monday into Tuesday. The wind will pick up late Monday into Tuesday.

There is a chance for snow for much of western Nebraska on Sunday. Showers and thunderstorms are likely to the east.

Snow is becoming more of a possibility for much of Nebraska as we head through the holiday weekend.

Mild temperatures will continue into next week with small rain/mix chances Thursday and Friday.

We only get warmer after Wednesday. In fact, we look warm enough for rain if we see much come from a couple chances to end the week.
