Iran welcomes Qatari call for regional talks
Tehran, Jan 20 (Prensa Latina) Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Yavad Zarif on Wednesday welcomed his Qatari counterpart s proposal for talks between the Persian Gulf Arab nations and Iran.
On Twitter, Zarif posted that Tehran advocates for a regional cooperation to strengthen the region with no foreign interference. As we have consistently emphasized, the solution to our challenges lies in collaborating to jointly form a strong region: peaceful, stable, prosperous and free from global or regional hegemony, Zarif tweeted.
Zarif thus alluded to his Qatari counterpart Muhammad bin Abdulrahman Al Thani s statement, in which he announced Doha s interest in holding a summit between Iran and the Persian Gulf Arab nations.

Tehran, Jan 17 (Prensa Latina) Iran s Foreign Minister, Mohammad Yavad Zarif, reminded his French counterpart, Jean-Ives Le Drian, that the Islamic Republic kept alive the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) or nuclear deal.
This was Zarif s response to recent statements by Le Drian about the need to negotiate some terms of this multilateral agreement with the inclusion of Iran s missile and ballistics program.
He also addressed accusations by the French minister that Iran is destabilizing the West Asian region by saying that Paris is actually indirectly involved in the genocide in Yemen.
