On May 18, Bethel’s tripod fell as the river thawed to a breaking point. On May 20, Bethel residents met on the riverfront to celebrate the annual breakup bash. There was sunshine, hotdogs, a long line for shaved ice, and chunks of ice flowing down the Kuskokwim. Some were like crystals, flat and glassy, others were like mounds of snow or mud; some were like smooth rocks.

Twenty-four on-air TV news staffers have left the Cincinnati airwaves this year — and nine have quit the TV business completely.

The former WCPO-TV and WLWT-TV anchor-reporter is joining Pete Scalia and Mikhayla Hughes-Shaw as hosts of WCPO-TV's 10 a.m. lifestyle show starting Aug. 22.

Morrow, a longtime fixture for the station, is is widely beloved and respected for her impact in the Cincinnati community.

It's the second retirement from Channel 9 by Gray, who left his news anchor job in 2014 only to return four years later to co-host "Cincy Lifestyle" with Morrow in 2018.

Brogan said "Cincy Lifestyle" will continue, adding the station is actively searching for new hosts.
