Five homes have been damaged after a fire broke out at a townhouse complex in North York on Tuesday evening.

On Sunday, Jared Ryan Prochazka, 23, of Orlando, was arrested for vehicular homicide and leaving the scene of a crash involving death.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a warrant was issued for Prochazka following the crash that happened on Dec. 22, 2021. The victim,13-year-old Gabriel Ortiz, was pronounced dead at Arnold Palmer Hospital.

Jared Prochazka is charged with vehicular homicide in connection with the December 22 hit-and-run death of teenager Gabriel Ortiz.

While Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) troopers took measurements along Montello Drive in Orange County, neighbors watched still trying to process the shock that a 13-year-old boy riding his bicycle was the victim of a hit-and-run crash.

Deputies with the Orange County Sheriff's Office were able to find the driver about a mile away.

Investigators said the driver of the vehicle was found a mile away from the scene.
