The season of 7-on-7 football competition rolled on on Wednesday as the Williams Bulldogs played host to the Southeast Guilford Falcons, Eastern Alamance Eagles and Morehead Panthers for summer work.
After a crushing double overtime loss on its home floor last week, No. 16 Northern Guilford responded and defeated Morehead by a 52-10 final margin. The Lady Nighthawks, who are now 5-1 overall, were led by freshman guard Jasmine Harris with 12 points off the bench.
Northern Guilford took a battle of unbeaten teams in Summerfield on Friday evening by upending Morehead, 74-44. Nolan Hodge (junior wing) had 27 points to lead the Nighthawks and all scorers in the victory. Northern used 41 second-half points to capture the needed Mid-State Athletic 2A/3A Conference result.
