At a motion hearing, the defense for a former Savannah police sergeant claimed he was fired in retaliation for complaints against for police chief.

Savannah police are investigating a shooting at Moss Pointe Apartments that injured two people Thursday afternoon. Savannah police responded to the 9400 block of Abercorn Street around 2:30 p.m., where they located two male victims with gunshot wounds.  Both were transported to an area hospital to be treated for their injuries.
