Vehicles fail their MOT test for a variety of reasons but data suggests these are the leading problems behind why motorists cannot get a new pass certificate.

British drivers could be massively caught out by their annual MOT test with failures leading to costly new parts for cash-strapped road users.

A number of new rules could soon be implemented across motoring in the near future, which could massively affect how drivers maintain their cars, refuel and deal with the 2030 petrol and diesel sales ban.
