OROVILLE — A Tonasket man drowned in the Okanogan River Sunday, July 2, while fishing near Driscoll Island, south of town.

YAKIMA–The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife will conduct aerial bighorn sheep, mule deer, and mountain goat captures from mid-January through March in multiple counties along the eastern slope of the Cascade Range. Captured wildlife will be fitted with GPS collars and then released. Data from the collars will help wildlife managers better understand survival, movement, and habitat selection of these animals, which will aid in their monitoring and conservation.
