Despite being aware of the threats to life and property, Hazi Wahed Mansion owners still rented out the residential property to set up five warehouses for flammable materials in order to make extra profit.

Chawkbazar police yesterday pressed charges against eight people, including two owners of Wahed Mansion -- from where a deadly fire originated in February 2019 and killed 71 people.
