With summer right around the corner, the St. Louis region will likely face some of the highest temperatures on record. Millions of Americans are subject to rising temperatures, and Washington University and the St. Louis region are no exception.

Washington University's Spring WILD (Walk In, Lay Down) attendance has been capped at 3,000 for undergraduates, following an announcement that it will be held in the Athletic Center’s Fieldhouse.

Washington University’s spring Walk In Lay Down (WILD) will take place in the Athletic Complex (AC) instead of Mudd Field, a decision announced to students via email, April 23.

Around 30 students stood outside the Office of Student Conduct and Community Standards to express support for senior RJ Lucas, who was suspended from Washington University following the pro-Palestine Bear Day protest. The students demonstrated while Lucas was meeting with the student conduct board around 2:45 p.m., April 17.

Rapper Joey Bada$$ will be the headlining act at Spring WILD, which will take place on Mudd Field on Friday, April 26, per Washington University’s Social Programming Board (SPB), April 22.

Now in its ninth year, the Bear Cubs Running Team at Washington University in St. Louis serves children with autism and other physical and developmental disabilities as well as their siblings. Every Sunday, 100 “cubs” and their coaches meet at WashU for stretching, games and socializing. The season will end April 21 with a big race on the track at Francis Olympic Field.

About 55 community members protested Washington University’s investments in Boeing on Mudd Field, and urged the St. Louis County Council to call for a cease-fire to the Israel-Hamas war, Jan. 23.

About 70 community members, mainly students, attended a protest calling for Chancellor Andrew Martin to make a statement on violence in Gaza, condemn Islamophobia, and cut Washington University’s financial ties with Boeing, Dec. 7.
