Actress Eva Longoria is visiting San Antonio on Monday.
This Monday afternoon, Longoria will take a quick tour of the San Antonio Food Bank with the President and CEO Eric Cooper, according to a news release from the food bank. She will also make three home deliveries to households impacted by the Texas winter storm last week.
The notable former politician, who teased a gubernatorial run earlier this month, tweeted about his time in the Alamo City, writing about a local he met who painted Be Kind on the side of her building on the West Side. She runs the St. Phocus community garden, supplying fresh produce for one of San Antonio s food deserts, O Rourke tweeted. The garden died in last week s storm, but she s already planting new seeds.
O Rourke also launched the Wellness Check Canvass group in Austin and Houston. He s asking volunteers to sign up for Monday s check-in. Volunteers will knock on doors in their community anytime between noon and 6 p.m. To sign up for San Antonio, click here.
