During a time when the news bleeds heartbreaking stories and horrific weather, the are some stories that give glimpses of hope and joy.
On Wednesday, the San Antonio Police Department tweeted about a recent welfare check. The post stated they found a 93-year-old WW2 and Korean War Veteran without power in his home. Due to icy conditions, the family was unable to get to him, the post noted.
Thankfully, the officers reunited the veteran with his family, and he is now safe. The post wrote that the officers were honored to assist the local vet. They were so honored they even posted a picture of all of them together (look at that vet s smile. It is so pure).
