In the immediate aftermath of the traffic meltdown, questions were raised about Aim Roads crews tasked with keeping heavily trafficked roadways safe. Answers are now available.

People living in a Fintry-area neighbourhood have become frustrated with the dusty, hole-riddled roads that are putting a damper on their quality of life.

This week, AIM Roads announced that remedial work on the troubled section, located just south of Summerland, was finally finished.

Originally, the site was slated to undergo blasting on Thursday evening, but the date was changed to 24 hours later.

After two landslides in mid-May to early June disrupted traffic near Lakeshore Drive South, Highway 97 has been repeatedly closed while crews blast away unstable rock.
