Saturday was a huge day for racers, fans and employees alike at Oaklawn. Many horses raced in the Rebel Stakes, as it brought both money and fans to the track.

The annual Oaklawn Kick-Off Banquet was held Nov. 17 at Wyndham Riverfront. This is the 14th year for the event hosted by the North Little Rock Chamber of Commerce.

Nancy Holthus comes from a family of jockeys and trainers. As Oaklawn starts its longest racing season yet, Holthus is preparing to keep fans informed.
