The New England Patriots are holding a press conference to announce that they will be parting ways with head coach Bill Belichick.

Before joining the Patriots, Callender was the director of football operations for the Princeton University Tigers.

The Patriots broke a notable barrier with their recent hire of Maya Ana Callender, who joins the team's scouting department just before OTAs.

Members of Fremont Area Association of Retired School Personnel met at St. James Episcopal Church on May 10. The women of St. James provided a lunch for the members.

Callender recently spent four years at Princeton, where she worked as a liaison with the team and NFL scouts. According to the school, Callender was also involved in team travel, communication, player engagement and alumni relations. She follows director of scouting administration Nancy Meier, the team's longest-tenured employee who joined the Patriots in 1975, as the only other woman in the team's scouting department.

The New England Patriots reportedly have hired Maya Ana Callender as a scouting assistant, making her the second woman in the department.
