It’s been a while since Crossville water customers have seen a rate hike on their bills.

Aaron Elmore was chosen among six finalists to take on the role of Cumberland County Finance Director during a Tuesday morning meeting.

The Cumberland County Finance Committee will meet Tuesday, Dec. 12, at 8 a.m. to discuss hiring the county’s next finance director.

The panel will reconvene Wednesday, Dec. 6, at 7:45 a.m. to hold three additional interviews. Afterward, members will discuss the next steps in the process to find a new finance

The Financial Management Committee met Tuesday, Nov. 14, to decide among those who submitted resumes for the Cumberland County Director of Finance position would be called in for interviews.

The appointment follows the resignation of Ivy Gardner Mayberry, whose last day in office was Sept. 30.
