Numbers wise, were at 50 degrees at reagan national. In south, were in the 60s already. Theres a very small area between the warmer air and the cold front coming in from the west. It will be a squeeze play this afternoon. As ive been telling you for a couple of days, it depends on how much sunshine we get for how long a period of time that will determine whether we get severe thunderstorms or a few garden variety storms. This is not the cold front. This is rain ahead of the warm front. That will spread eastward the next few hours. After that i think rapidly the skies will brighten. The sotherly winds will help to bring up warmer air. This is a wider view right now of this first area.
