Happening today, new Jersey Governor Chris Christie has been tapped to lead President Trumps opioid commission. Its a new effort to fight the growing epidemic. Nbc10s matt delucia joins us live in the digital operations center. Christie is not new to this fight. Reporter thats right. He met with President Trump last month. Later this morning he will be at the white house to be part of a round table discussion on opioid abuse. A white house official said earlier this week that the governor would work on an opioid task force.
