Dimapur, Oct. 29 (EMN): Native Feathers clinched the Peren District Football Association (PDFA) Cup title of the first Peren District Football League (PDFL) 2022 after defeating Puiteing FC 4-3 in the final through a tie-breaker. Organised by the PDFA, the month-long PDFL came to a close at Jalukie ‘B’ village ground. Earlier, in the league round, Puiteing FC emerged as the winner of PDFL after which the top four teams of the league vied for the coveted PDFA Cup title. Both the teams won their respective semifinal matches played at Jalukie ‘B’ village ground on Friday. The semifinals matches were played between the top four teams of the 1st Peren District Football League (PDFL) league vying for the Peren District Football Association (PDFA) cup title. It may be mentioned that the league matches have ended last week where Puiteing FC emerged as the PDFL champions. After the first semifinal match on Friday, a prize distribution was held where Puiteing FC walked away with cash award of INR 1 lakh along with the trophy. Dimapur, Oct. 21 (EMN): Puiteing FC reclaimed the top spot in the Peren District Footbal League (PDFL) organised by Peren District Football Association (PDFA) after stunning Nsong Area Sports Association (NASA) 7-1 at Jalukie ‘B’ village ground on Friday. Puiteing FC opened their account in the 21st minute through the boots of Kawijibo, who also scored the third goal in the 43rd minute. Puiteingthen added another goal in the 23rd minute through Jangminlen. After the breather, Wibonjibou of Puiteing FC struck again in the 51st minute while his teammate Kawililakbou added another goal in the 59th minute.
