A "soft lockdown" was lifted at multiple schools in the Forest Hills district after police investigated an "unknown individual" who was spotted on campus of one of the schools.

Before coming to Madeira, Flanagan was principal at Ayer Elementary and assistant principal at Mercer Elementary in the Forest Hills School District.

In the post, the city of Madeira said, "We are saddened to hear of the passing of Madeira Elementary School Principal, Chris Flanagan. His leadership will be missed throughout the community."

Chris Flanagan came to the area in 1998 to teach at Finneytown Local School District, according to his LinkedIn page.
