Ather Energy has revealed their new electric scooter, Rizta, through an innovative teaser featuring an ultrasound report. The scooter will be launched in six months and is described as a family scooter. Ather has released a darkened image of the scooter, showcasing a different design from their current lineup. Ather currently has four e-scooters, including the flagship 450 Apex.

The company claimed that its EVs comes with nifty features like safe-start technology. Te Creatara VS4 and VM4 offer 100 km range as well as top speed of 100 kmph.

The scooter will be built on the same platform as the Simple One and will come equipped with a fixed 3.7 kWh battery pack. It is certified to offer a range of 151 kilometers, which extends to 160 kilometers in IDC testing.

Ather New Launches: The CEO of Ather Energy, Tarun Mehta, confirmed that the upcoming scooter will be larger than their current 450 series and will provide more space and comfort. Mehta also mentioned that the new scooter will be affordable and will serve as the entry-level model in the companys portfolio.

Currently, the Ather 450 is available in two trim levels - 450S and 450X. The 450X, which comes with a larger 3.7 kWh battery pack, offers a claimed range of 150 km on a single charge. Both variants have a top speed of 90 kmph. The prices for the 450S start from Rs 1.30 lakh, while the 450X starts from Rs 1.38 lakh (ex-showroom).

Ola is planning to launch an entry-level electric scooter called S1X in the Indian market, with a starting price of less than INR 1 lakh. The launch is expected to coincide with Indias Independence Day on August 15. Although Ola has not provided details, the S1X is reported to offer a range of around 100 km. Ola currently offers S1 Pro, S1, and S1 Air electric scooters.
