Demolition has begun to finally spell the end for Blackpool’s New Hacketts Hotel after a devastating fire.

Fire crews continue to battle a huge blaze that started in a derelict hotel on Blackpool seafront yesterday afternoon (Apr 24), and part of the promenade remains closed.

A huge blaze has broken out at a landmark hotel in Blackpool as firefighters rushed to the scene and people are being urged to keep their doors and windows shut.

Twelve fire engines are on the scene as historic building goes up in flames at well-known location
