County and Alamance-Burlington School System officials are moving more money around to pay for mold remediation in the schools.

ABSS will have Grab & Go Meals available today, Sept. 6, for any school-age child. Families can come pick up meals for their children from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The Alamance-Burlington School System will offer free meals to all school-age children on Tuesday as it works to clean schools where mold was found.

As mold remediation continues and kids remain out of school, the Alamance Burlington School System is offering support to parents and reassuring them classes will start on time.

Burlington School System says environmental inspectors did additional testing at the schools and found a toxigenic mold called Chaetomium.

The North Carolina school district said that environmental inspectors discovered toxigenic mold called Chaetomium at a high school and a middle school.

The Alamance Burling School System is working to get the buildings ready for students to return on Sept. 5.
