An unnamed Town fan says that his bid to the club of ยฃ500 for more than 7,000 shares was not a gag. Reports earlier in the week suggested the fan had made a joke bid for cash-strapped Town, however the supporter, who wishes to remain anonymous, says he is quite serious.
