To bring high water to coastal communities, and several tornadoes have been sighted. There are also concerns that debris from hurricane helene which struck the same region less than two weeks ago may become airborne due to high winds, creating added danger. As we ve mentioned, hurricane milton is now a category three storm as it collides with the coastline in sarasota county. The city of tampa is also in the path of the storm. Florida s governor ron desantis gave this update on the storm a few hours ago. At this point, it s too dangerous to evacuate safely, so you have to shelter in place and just hunker down. Category three storm for most places in florida, particularly newer construction, likely the building is going to be able to withstand it, but if you start to get into a situation where trees are snapping, power s popping, you have to treat it like a tornado.
