Researchers say they have captured a radio signal from the most distant galaxy to date.

Researchers from Montreal and India have detected a radio signal from a galaxy thats nearly nine billion light years away

Astronomers using the Giant Metrewave Radio Telescope (GMRT) in Pune to detect a radio signal originating from an extremely distant galaxy.

Cosmologists from the Indian Institute of Science and McGill University say the radio wave was emitted from a star-forming galaxy 8.8 billion years ago.

Researchers have captured a radio signal from the most distant galaxy to date.

Astronomers from McGill University in Canada and the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in Bengaluru have used data from the Giant Meterwave Radio Telescope (GMRT) in Pune to detect a radio signal originating from atomic hydrogen in an extremely...

This radio signal has a specific wavelength called the 21 cm line.

"Astronomers have detected a radio signal from the most distant galaxy yet," reports Space.com — thanks to a naturally occurring phenomenon called gravitational lensing. "The signal is bent by the presence of another massive body, another galaxy, between the target and the observer," says re...

Scientists from McGill University and Indian Institute of Science have made this groundbreaking discovery

The findings have been published in Monthly Notices of the Royal Astronomical Society.
