People have said for years the Young Street Bridge is an international tourist destination. They’ve talked about how fans from across the globe visit Aberdeen with the hopes of taking the same steps as the late Kurt Cobain, the Aberdeen son who helped build the Grunge music scene with the band Nirvana.

The consultants at David Evans and Associates, Inc., (DEA) spoke about the North Aberdeen Bridge and the potential for replacing it Wednesday night in front of the Aberdeen City Council and many other city residents, A much discussed topic for the city, the presentation covered the bridge’s functionality, why it needs replacing and the project’s next steps.

Phil “Fill” Slep is excited about a spooky tour happening in October in downtown Aberdeen. He and Downtown Aberdeen Association are so eager they want to make sure people can have the opportunity to chime in with ideas to make it even better.
