Two days after America celebrates its birth, Aberdonians will celebrate the city’s roots with a spirited series of fun events that celebrate the city’s past, its founder Sam Benn and other noteworthy people.

When there are seven barbecue tents serving tri-tip beef on a warm, sunny Saturday in August in Aberdeen, the day’s got a strong chance to be a good one.

Phil “Fill” Slep is excited about a spooky tour happening in October in downtown Aberdeen. He and Downtown Aberdeen Association are so eager they want to make sure people can have the opportunity to chime in with ideas to make it even better.
