Nithari's serial killings' accused Moninder Singh Pandhar was released from a Greater Noida jail today days after the Allahabad high Court cleared him of all charges.

Pawan Jallad recalled that his father Mammu Jallad, who served UP as hangman for 47 years, wanted to hang Nithari’s infamous duo Surender Koli and Moninder Singh Pandher but passed away in 2011 with a wish that his son would fulfil his incomplete job

Along with Pandher, his domestic help Surendra Koli was also acquitted. The acquittals came after the prosecution failed to prove guilt "beyond reasonable doubt". The court also observed that the investigation had been "botched up".

The High Court has called the slipshod quality of the investigation a betrayal of public trust. Accountability must be fixed for the abysmal quality of the investigation

The acquittal of Moninder Singh Pandher and Surinder Koli in the Nithari serial killings has sparked public interest once again.
