National Mineral Development Corporation Ltd (NMDC) on Tuesday said its production and sales of iron ore rose marginally by around one per cent year-on-year in the first month of the current financial year.

National Mineral Development Corporation Limited (NMDC), the countrys largest iron ore producer, said on Saturday its production increased by 23 per cent year-on-year to reach 42.15 million tonnes (MT) in the financial year ended March 31, 2022.

Union Minister of Steel Ram Chandra Prasad (RCP) Singh on Saturday laid the foundation stone for a 7 million tonne per annum (MTPA) screening and beneficiation plant at NMDCs Donimalai iron ore mine in Karnataka.
