Downtown Chattanooga is losing some of its biggest buildings as thousands of office workers who once came to centrally-located offices every day are now working from home, at least some of the time.

Local physicians have joined with Chattanooga company Noon Development to buy and renovate one of the biggest medical offices in East Ridge from the owners of the adjacent Parkridge East hospital.

For the fifth time in less than seven years, one of Chattanoogas fastest-growing accounting firms is preparing to move again into larger downtown offices.

Noon Development broke ground Oct. 20 on a multitenant medical office and independent surgery center in Gahanna.

Halifax Health this month is expected to open three ExpressCare clinics, which will provide care for non-life-threatening medical conditions in Ormond Beach, Daytona Beach Shores and Deltona.  A fourth location in the new Belvedere Park in Port Orange is scheduled to open this fall.
