The Norwegian oil and gas company Equinor has agreed to buy the 30% share of Shell in the Linnorm gas discovery, raising its ownership to 50%. the Linnorm discovery, located in the Norwegian North Sea, is the largest undeveloped gas discovery on the Norwegian Continental Shelf and is estimated to contain between 25 and 30 bcm of recoverable gas resources. The deal is expected to close during the first quarter of 2024.
