The North Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) on Wednesday carried out an anti-encroachment drive in the Narayana Industrial area on Wednesday and demolished around a dozen shops.

On April 20, in a one-hour anti-encroachment drive, at least 20 shops were bulldozed – all situated in the same street as a mosque and a temple complex.

BJP’s Delhi unit chief Adesh Gupta has written a letter to the mayors of east and south Delhi to conduct anti-encroachment drives in their areas.

The BJP has not only sold off 13 parking lots of the MCD but also waived off house tax worth crores of rupees to help the private mafia, Atishi alleged. 

AAP Chief Spokesperson Saurabh Bhardwaj talked about how the BJP-ruled MCD is defrauding its own employees and said, “We are all well aware of the fact that every company, private or government, has to implement a GPF deduction in the employee’s salary."

The Delhi High Court on Wednesday ordered the CBI to probe how the famous 108-foot Hanuman statue and a private two-wheeler dealership encroached upon public land in the busy Karol Bagh area and the officials who allowed it to happen by abusing their position.
