NTPC Green Energy Ltd (NGEL), another wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC, has commissioned a renewable energy capacity of 2,711 MW and is setting up two solar projects a 40 MW solar project at Ayodhya in Uttar Pradesh and a hydrogen hub at Pudimadaka in Andhra Pradesh.

Sterling and Wilson Renewable Energy on Friday announced receiving an order worth Rs 1,535 crore from NTPC Renewable Energy. The company has received the notification of award for the EPC project of 300 MWac of NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL) at Khavda RE Power Park, Rann of Kutch, in Gujarat, a company statement said.
"The bidding was conducted on August 8, 2023, by Rewa Ultra Mega Solar Limited, a joint venture of Solar Energy Corporation of India and MP Urja Vikas Nigam Ltd. The discovered tariff is Rs 3.80/kWh," it said. NTPC Group has 3.3 GW renewable energy (RE) operational capacity, while another 20 GW RE capacity is in the pipeline, including 4 GW energy storage system and the country s first green hydrogen-based piped natural gas blending project.
