O Ibobi News Today

Unwanted incidents were reported in Sugnu areas and it is a well planned strategy of the Indian government to destroy the democracy of the country, former chief minister of Manipur Okram Ibobi said.

Former Manipur CM and CLP leader O Ibobi took a swipe at the current BJP-led government, criticising its penchant for blaming the previous Congress administration for governance shortcomings.

Congress leader O Ibobi is under investigation by Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in connection with its probe into alleged misappropriation of funds between 2009 and 2017 when he was the Manipur chief minister.

Ibobi strongly condemned both the governments for “failing to revive peace in the state and bring peace between the two warring communities of the state.”

Former Manipur CM O Ibobi emphasised that people anticipated a swift resolution to the violence for a return to normalcy.

Peace Committee constituted by the Union government has not done any visible work to restore peace and harmony in Manipur, Congress leader and former chief minister O Ibobi said.
