Santa Clarita Identity Theft Suspect Faces Nearly A Dozen Charges After DUI Complaint
A Sun Valley man was arrested on nearly a dozen charges Monday, after being reported to Sheriff’s deputies as a possible drunk driver.
Around 10:30 p.m. Monday, deputies responded to Golden Valley Road and Oak Crest Drive in Canyon Country regarding a possible drunk driving call, said Deputy Natalie Arriaga, spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
“Upon arrival, deputies observed a parked vehicle matching the reported vehicle description,” Arriaga said.
When deputies approached the vehicle, they identified the front license plate to be counterfeit, Arriaga said.
FRAMINGHAM An Ashland woman died Sunday night in a one-car crash on Worcester Road (Rte. 9), authorities said.
The 28-year-old woman was declared dead at the scene, Deputy Police Chief Sean Riley said in a statement.
The crash occurred near 1138 Worcester Road at 9:23 p.m. The car had crashed into a guardrail. The woman was the only occupant of the car, according to the statement.
Police, firefighters and paramedics immediately began performing emergency medical treatment but she was pronounced at the scene.
Shortly before the crash, there was a report of a woman on the ground on Oak Crest Drive near Country Club Lane who got into a car and drove away. Riley said police are investigating whether the two incidents are connected.
