My previous two articles on age-related problems elicited a lot of enquiries and I thought of doing a follow-up article on providing answers for some more ailments. This week, I will focus on common issues related to loss of motor and other functions. As we grow old, we lose a lot of our functions; be it hearing or speaking coherently, seeing well, and control of how we let go of body wastes.
Old age! For most people, living a long life is a thoughtful goal. Indeed, it is even possible to naturally live beyond a 100. Living a long life is one thing, but what is more important is living a long, healthy life. One may follow any diet or health regimen, the body is programmed to decay, and age throws up several curveballs. It is said we programme ourselves to age, and that may be true.
