Animal cruelty defendant seeks intervention in lieu of conviction
View Comments MANSFIELD - A 49-year-old woman charged with nine counts of cruelty to companion animals is seeking intervention in lieu of conviction. Cara Welty was scheduled to change her plea Thursday in Richland County Common Pleas Court. Instead, Judge Phil Naumoff scheduled a merits hearing for June 10.
