Dollar Tree announced on Wednesday that it acquired leases for 170 of 99 Cents Only Stores out of bankruptcy and will reopen the stores under its own brand in the fall.

Discount chain bids for 93 retail locations in the state, pending approval from the bankruptcy court.

Dollar Tree is giving more than its two cents, with the purchase of 170 storefronts previously owned by 99 Cents Only Stores.

Discount store 99 Cents Only announced on April 4 that it would shutter all 371 of its locations. A rival has stepped in to save several locations.

Ollie's Bargain Outlet entered a bid to save Texas 99 Cents Only Stores after the bargain store declared bankruptcy this year.
