Onomondo and Nordic Semiconductor have announced the successful integration of SoftSIM into nRF91 Series-based designs, meaning users of Nordic’s cellular IoT devices can now deploy this world-first technology across various IoT projects, with early testing data showing a 90-100% reduction in power consumption.

Onomondo detailed plans to launch a new type of SIM in Q1 2023, which it claimed would reduce the cost and deployment time for IoT services.
