Adams County government officials are working to comply with Adams Electric Cooperative’s regulations for the county’s human services building to become a source of solar-generated electricity, officials said.

The reroofing project at the Adams County human services building (HSB) is facing “delays associated with the steel reinforcing work,” officials said last week.

A recent $265,000 change order expanded the scope of the reroofing project at the Adams County Human Services building, raising the total cost of the proposal to $1.8 million.

Two Adams County buildings’ roofs and the county courthouse’s clock tower will see upgrades and repairs this year.
