(WXYZ) â State Representative Jewell Jones is facing charges stemming from a traffic crash on April 6.
Jones was arrested after the crash occurred along I-96 in Livingston County.
Jones has been charged with the following:
Four counts of resisting and obstructing a police officer
Operating a motor vehicle with a high blood alcohol content
Operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated
Possession of a weapon under the influence of alcohol
Reckless driving
Jones faces a maximum penalty of 2 years in prison for the Resisting and Obstructing a Police Officer charges, 180 days in jail for the Operating with a High Blood Alcohol Content, 93 days in jail for Operating While Intoxicated, 93 days in jail for Possession of a Weapon under the Influence of Alcohol and 93 days for Reckless Driving.
Suspect Leads Fayette Police on a Chase Through Town
A Wisconsin man has been arrested in Fayette, after leading authorities on a chase.
The Fayette Police Department received a report Thursday (April 8), of a driver who caused some damage at the Fayette County Transfer Station.
A police officer located the suspect vehicle, and pulled it over. Before the officer could issue any citations, the driver took off.

After a short pursuit, Fayette Police Officers were able to box-in the suspect s car on South Main Street.

The driver, identified as 44 year old Rocky Burke of LaCrosse, Wisconsin, was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated - Drugged, Eluding Law Enforcement while committing a felony, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Criminal Mischief 5th Degree, a Seatbelt Violation, Operating without Insurance, and Reckless Driving. Burke was being held in the Fayette County jail in West Union, until his initial court appearance.

Johnson County Sheriff’s deputies have arrested an Ely man they say was driving while intoxicated with what they describe as a “pile” of empty Fireball shooters in his truck.
Officers pulled over a 2004 Ford Ranger without license plates just before 10:30 Tuesday night near the intersection of Ely Road and 120
th Street, just north of the Coralville Reservoir and Lake MacBride. The driver, 20-year-old Denver Haight of Polk Avenue NE, allegedly showed signs of intoxication. Multiple empty shooters of Fireball whiskey were seen in the cup holder, and a mostly-empty case of Busch Light was found inside the cab. Haight allegedly admitted the drinks were his, and that he was underage.

North Liberty Police say they’ve arrested a woman who had children in her car as she was driving with a blood alcohol content over three times the legal limit.
Around 9:30 Saturday night the Iowa State Patrol was requested to help assist on a traffic stop by North Liberty Police near the intersection of Highway 965 and 240
th Street. The driver, 35-year-old Delores Burrell of North Jones Boulevard, allegedly showed signs of impairment. She also had two children under the age of 18 as her passengers.
Burrell was taken to University of Iowa Police headquarters on South Capitol Street in Iowa City, where her BAC was recorded as 265% on a Datamaster test. Anything above a .08% is illegal for driving.

Burlington, Ia- The Des Moines County Sheriff’s Office has announced an arrest stemming from a traffic stop.
On Tuesday, March 30, 2021, at approximately 9:53 p.m., a deputy with the Des Moines County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop in the area of Old Hwy 61 and Summer St. in Rural Des Moines County.
The vehicle was occupied by a male driver, a female passenger, and 2 small children. As a result of the traffic stop, the driver 39-year-old Calvin Cass Tucker of Fort Madison, Iowa was arrested for Operating While Intoxicated, Interference with Official Acts, Driving Under Suspension, Child Endangerment, and a Probation Warrant.
