USCIS announced the expansion of its premium processing service to include certain F1 students seeking OPT and STEM OPT. OPT employment authorization provides eligible F1 students to apply for up to 12 months of temporary employment related to their field of study.

USCIS is implementing the next phase of the premium processing expansion for certain petitioners who have a pending Form I-140 under the EB-1 and EB-2 classifications. USCIS will only accept premium processing requests for pending cases based on their date of filing.
