Seven men who were charged with the murder of the Coka brothers on a Mpumalanga farm have been acquitted.



The accused all pleaded not guilty to the charges last month.

The seven men from Pampoenkraal, near Mkhondo in Mpumalanga, accused of murdering the Coka brothers, Zenzele and Amos, have been acquitted on all the charges against them.

The murder trial has been postponed to 11 May and moved to Evander near Secunda.

He said they agreed to meet Greyling and address the issue on another date, adding that they were surprised to see new workers on the farm.

The two brothers were allegedly shot by the farmers after trying to rescue a victim.

A foreman has been arrested as a fifth suspect for the murder of two brothers at a Mpumalanga farm. Mpumalanga National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) spokesperson, Monica Nyuswa, said on Monday that the foreman was arrested on Friday. He is due to appear alongside Daniel Malan (38), Cornelius Greyling (25), Ignatius Steynberg (31) and Othard Klingenberg (53) on Monday to apply for bail.
