this is ingram angle and we re delighted you re with us tonight. former university of kentucky swimmer riley gaines. remember, she was attacked by students at san francisco state university because she stood up for female athletes. well, instead of punishing the pro trans radicals, the school celebrated them. well, gaines is here tonight to respond and tell us about how she intends to hold the school accountable. but first, listen to trump. that s the focus of tonight s angle. now. when president donald trump, speaking at the un, warned germany and the rest of europe about becoming too reliant on russian energy, remember, they literally laughed at him. germany will become totally dependent on russian energy if it does not immediately change course. we are committed to maintaining our independence from the encroachment of expansionist foreign powers. cut that out, of course, when russia invaded ukraine and sanctions against russia were put in place, we saw trump was righ
For quite some time. The girls and sister followed behind, joined in on the embrace. A surprise. They posted a video to facebook saying we only have him for a few weeks but we are really excited. Home on leave. I could play those all day. Thanks for inviting us into your home tonight. Thats it for this special report, fair, balanced and unafraid. Heres martha. Martha it making me misty at the start of my show. Thank you so much. Breaking tonight, on the heels of the leaked Michael Cohen tape President Trump called A Hastily Convened Press Conference in the rose garden saying this. The European Union is doing to us is incredible, how bad. They made 151 billion last year, our trade deficit. I said you have to change. They didnt want to change. I said we will tariff your cars. They said when can we show up . Would tomorrow be okay . Martha and tomorrow was. and no surprise, it has been a total and complete disaster. biden gave up most of our trade leverage, drop tariffs on steel and aluminum against europe. he gutted our energy independence, rejoined the paris accords, giving the europeans more leverage to push us around on emissions issues. and despite biden s claims that he was going to support more manufacturing in america, he buckled the moment macron complained, promising to tweak our policy to help european businesses. oh, and about that trade deficit. well, last year, our trade deficit in goods from the eu alone was over two hundred billion dollars for the second year in a row. so it didn t take the media long, of course, to celebrate that propaganda victory. so the debate over europe between trump and the establishment has now been settled. trump is right. they don t care about any international rules based order
force technology transfer and intellectual property theft. so that s where we are. we ll see what happens and we ll either get a great deal or we ll get tariffs. the congress secretary wilbur ross expects a trade deal but said a definitive deal will not likely happen at the g-20, and he said this about negotiations. well, i think there eventually will be. even shooting wars end in negotiation. so i think eventually this will end in negotiation. most people try to avoid shooting wars, and they try to avoid trade wars, too. secretary ross also painted the president s recent trade threats with mexico as positive and cautioned don t listen to the sound bites. and he used mexico as the example there. what are the results in terms of the u.s. trade war with china? our trade deficit has gone up. well, the president thinks the results negative. the president thinks there s
the exit from the iran deal is having impact. arthel: some european allies are concerned about the exit. so they will be watching to see and hear with the president says on that. let s talk china. with the u.s. and trade war with china, where he expected to hear from the president about china? this is a great question. and i will be listening to see how much he talks about china. the fact is that president trump has chosen this moment we have a strong u.s. economy to try and reset that long imbalance. our trade deficit has been going up ever since china joined the wto in 2000. but i m curious if he will take a swing at china. or if he wants to keep the trade war in bilateral channels. and don t forget, that our european allies also feel the sting of this trade imbalance with china. so donald trump is on very solid ground here.
